2027 World Handball Championship – Group Leaders Determined
The International Handball Federation has confirmed the seeded teams for the eight preliminary round groups. In addition to host Germany (Group A), which will play its preliminary round matches in Munich, and defending champion Denmark (Group G in Kiel), six other group heads have been determined. France (Group D) and Switzerland (Group B) will come to Stuttgart if both teams qualify for the World Cup on the field. If not, the Czech Republic and Italy will be seeded as group leaders instead.
“The seeding of the teams gives fans a clear guide to help them plan their personal attendance at the World Championship and secure tickets,” says Mark Schober, Chairman of the German Handball Federation. “Given the interest so far, I can only advise against waiting too long. Demand will increase significantly once again, at the latest with the draw on June 10 at the Hofbräuhaus in Munich.”
Tickets and all information about the tournament are available on the official tournament website, www.handball2027.com. Tickets are also now available at all official ticket outlets.
