On the way to the 2026 European Handball Championship, the German national team will be coming to the Porsche-Arena on Sunday, May 11, 2025. The final qualifying match for next year's European Championship will be against Turkey.

The final match will kick off at 6 p.m. in the Porsche-Arena. Germany are the clear favorites in this game, as the team led by national coach Alfred Gislason is the undisputed leader in qualifying Group 7 with two wins from two games so far. And the omens for another win could hardly be better. The German handball team has won every one of its 13 games in the Porsche-Arena so far. “We want to keep it that way against Turkey on May 11,” says national team manager Benjamin Chatton.

Germany clearly won the first leg 36:29 (20:14) in Ankara. Nevertheless, the Turkish team is still a bit of a surprise bag for the Germans, as the two teams have only played each other twice before.
