With an impressive 30-25 victory on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Porsche Arena against HSG Bensheim/Auerbach, the Borussia Dortmund women’s handball team once again won the DHB Cup. The team, led by national team players Sarah Wachter and Alina Grijseels, lifted the trophy aloft amid a shower of confetti after the final in front of a record cup crowd of 3,989 spectators. This marks the first cup victory in 29 years for BVB, led by former German national team coach and current BVB head coach Henk Groener.

HSG Blomberg-Lippe took third place with a 29-27 victory over Thüringer HC in the “third-place match” after 60 minutes. In total, over 7,100 spectators attended the very well-attended Porsche-Arena over the two days of the event. “We can be more than satisfied,” said department head Christian Eisenhardt regarding the audience response. “This year, too, we welcomed 7,121 handball enthusiasts to the Porsche Arena over the past two days. This shows once again how well the sport is received in Stuttgart. Accordingly, we are delighted that the Haushahn Final4 will be held at the Porsche Arena through 2028.”
