While the European Football Championship is unfortunately heading into the home straight without any German participation, there is another event coming up this summer that will not only arouse sporting interest in Europe: The Summer Olympics start in Paris less than two weeks after the European Championship final. For the first time ever, both the German men's and women's handball teams will be taking part. The goal is clearly the final round in Lille.

To prepare for this highlight, the German Handball Federation is organizing a three-nation tournament for both national teams in the Porsche Arena on the “Road to Paris” from Friday, 19 to Sunday, 21 July 2024. The two German teams will be joined by top-class guests. The men will play Hungary on Friday, July 19, at 5:15 p.m. and Japan on Sunday, July 21, at 5:30 p.m. The German women's handball team will first face Hungary on Friday, July 19, at 7:45 p.m. before playing the Pan American champions from Brazil at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in the Porsche Arena. So this summer will definitely be hot.
