Wheelchair users or persons with a walking disability are offered the following services and support respectively when visiting the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle:
There are numerous parking spaces available for disabled persons in the immediate vicinity of the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in the P10 car park on the Cannstatter Wasen event site. The respective marked spaces are to be found in parking sector “A” along the Talstraße und Mercedesstraße streets. Parking is free of charge upon presentation of a disabled identification card marked with a “G”.
Wheelchair users or persons with a walking disability can access the interior of the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle via a special entrance on the Mercedesstraße. The entrance is situated under the Willi-Daume-Steg footbridge close to the taxi stand. From there the interior can be accessed via a ramp with a ten per cent gradient. Security and arena staff will be very happy to assist in the search for wheelchair spaces or seats and in any other way.
For events with standing room, there is ample space for wheelchair users in the stands “F” or “G”. For events with seating, the organisers make a number of easy-to-reach spaces available for wheelchair users in various categories. Accompanying persons naturally sit in the immediate proximity. The Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle has a total of seven sanitary facilities, each appropriately equipped with emergency buttons and plugs. On the same level as the infield, they are situated in the yellow stairwell (two toilets) and in the blue stairwell (one toilet). Two additional toilets for disabled persons are situated in the concourse opposite blocks 39 and 40. Access to the infield from there is via a lift close by. In addition, there are further toilets for disabled persons in the passageway to Room 1 and close to the event organiser offices.
