STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS with impressive Comeback
For Andreas Kroll, Managing Director of in.Stuttgart Veranstaltungsgesellschaft, the past tournament days in the Hanns Martin Schleyer Hall were a "comeback in a class of its own". "That's what we hoped for, but our expectations were not only met, but exceeded. It was an important signal that we had the courage to hold our tournament again after a three-year break."
At the final press conference before the highlight this Sunday (November 13), the Longines FEI World CupTM Jumping for the Grand Prix of Stuttgart with BW-BANK and WALTER solar, organizers and main sponsors were extremely satisfied. Andreas Kroll: "We have experienced impressive show days and are happy all around. On Saturday evening we were sold out and reached our target of almost 50,000 spectators. I would like to emphasize the overall organization, which has made a perfect re-start after a three-year break. For this, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those involved, our sponsors, test partners, the FEI and the many helpers in front of and behind the scenes."
Regarding plans for a new arena, Andreas Kroll said: "We are currently preparing a feasibility study for this. The tournament will continue to be held in the Schleyer Hall for the next three years, so construction work will not begin until 2026 at the earliest. In parallel, we are holding talks for an alternative location, because it is our goal that our equestrian tournament remains in Stuttgart and the region."
For the three show directors, the 36th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS were a complete success. Carsten Rotermund explained, "After the long break, of course we didn't know exactly what would happen. Now we are happy about the successful return. Numerous active riders, such as Isabell Werth and Boyd Exell, praised the exceptional atmosphere and the good conditions." Andreas Krieg attributed the top performances shown to the audience: "The riders and drivers were literally carried by the spectators. That doesn't happen often in the world."
The 37th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS International Horse Show will take place next year from November 15 to 19, 2023.
