A legend is bidding farewell to the stage: Howard Carpendale is currently on his final concert tour. After six decades, the 80-year-old can look back on a truly remarkable career. On Wednesday, March 25, he was awarded an “Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award” in recognition of this. 

“Howard Carpendale has accompanied and touched generations of people with his music—far beyond Germany’s borders,” says Stuttgart’s Mayor for Finance, Thomas Fuhrmann. “The fact that an artist with such charisma has returned to Stuttgart time and again and created unforgettable concert evenings here fills us with great gratitude.”

More than 8,000 enthusiastic attendees then celebrated an emotional journey through 60 years of music history.
